The nature and functions of the principal constitutional

1) Nature of the principal constitutional:
a) Flexible: constitutions allows for a change at any time according to the development oe society.
Example: constitutions of the United Kingdom and New Zealand.
b) Rigid: constitution difficult to change at any time.
Example: constitution of America, Canada, Germani, and Indonesia.
2) Functions of the principal constitutional
In more operations of constitutions has the following functions:
a) Restrict or control the power for the ruling did not act arbitrarily.
b) Provides a framework and legal basis or govenment structures into state institutions to serve as the foundation for the country that protects human rights.

The constitution shall be the basic structural foundation of the existense of state institutions which include the kind and quantity, formation, authority-owned, operating more normally left to the law.
The idea oe main function of this constitution is called constitutionalism. According to Carl J. Friedrich, contitutionalism is the idea that saw the government as a set of activities organized by and on behalf of the people, but subject to some restrictions that are expected to ensure that the necessary powers to the government was not misused by those who have the duty to govern.
Protection oe human rights became an important part of the constitutional charge, for the development of people's awareness of equality and human dignity are now universally accepted. No one country whose constitutional does not include the protection of human rights.
